Project Accountant (5+ Years’ Experience)

Project Accountant (5+ Years’ Experience)

Bayside Engineering is seeking a Project Accountant (5+ years’ experience) to join our team in Woburn, MA and provide outstanding service both internally and to our clients.

Responsibilities include:
* Supporting the project team by maintaining accurate and complete accounting records
* Working with ADP payroll
* Accounts Receivable collections
* Reviewing subconsultant agreements and invoices for payment
* Maintain relationships with clients, project managers, sub-contractors, and vendors
* Assisting with Human Resource functions as well as 401K management coordination

Required Skills/Abilities:
* Solid understanding of general accepted accounting practices and cost accounting.
* Comprehensive computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, with a proficiency in Excel
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting or Finance preferred
* 5 years equivalent experience which should include a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
* US work authorization

Senior Structural / Bridge Engineer (5+ Years’ Experience)

Bayside Engineering is seeking a senior structural / bridge engineer (5+ years’ experience) to join our team in Woburn, MA, for a variety of ongoing projects. Candidate must be experienced in the design and rating of bridges for state agencies and with building systems.  Familiarity with the MassDOT Bridge Manual and MassDOT design standards, AASHTO and the MA Building Code is required. Applicant must have 5+ years’ prior structural and bridge engineering experience with knowledge of AutoCAD and structural engineering software. Project and personnel management background is beneficial.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design of bridge/structures throughout the State of Massachusetts
  • Managing various elements of bridge ratings
  • Bridge inspections
  • Interfacing with clients on a variety of structural projects
  • Support or oversight of building projects is anticipated

Required:

  • US work authorization
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D

Preferred:

  • P.E. certification is desired for this position.

Roadway / Transportation Engineer (3–20 Years’ Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Roadway / Transportation Engineer with 3–20 years’ experience to join our team in Woburn, MA, for a variety of ongoing projects.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required
  • Experienced in roadway design, geometric design, pavement markings and signing layout
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Various levels of project design on roadway projects a plus

Responsibilities:

Roadway / Intersection Design

  • Design horizontal and vertical geometries, including creating cross-sections and profiles using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Design wheelchair ramps in accordance with the latest MassDOT/ADA Standards.
  • Prepare construction bid documents, including construction plans, traffic signal plans, curb tie plans, grading plans and traffic management plans.
  • Prepare technical specifications, special provisions, quantity calculations and construction cost estimates, per MassDOT standards preferred.
  • Familiar with MassDOT and FHWA design standards, policies and implementation.
  • Design proposed roadway signing and pavement markings.
  • Prepare traffic signal specifications.
  • Establish strong client relationships and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Work with MassDOT Right of Way and Utility Department(s).

Required:

  • US work authorization
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D

Preferred:

Salary: $90,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year

Land Surveyor: 2-5 years’ experience

Candidates must be dedicated and results-oriented. This position would be a combination of field survey as well as in-house design work.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years prior surveying experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required
  • Experience in deed research, boundary resolution and plan development for recording purposes is required.
  • US work authorization is required

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting property line surveys, construction stakeouts, topographical surveys and GPS services
  • Conducting deed and plan research and review
  • Preparing base plan drawings, maps and reports for permitting using AutoCAD Civil 3D software and related software packages
  • Conducting construction layout and as-built surveys
  • Preparing subdivision plans
  • Conducting land use planning
  • Zoning and use permitting
  • Performing and preparing site access and curb cuts permits for engineering staff
  • Surveying waterway and waterfront structures in coordination with engineering staff
  • Conducting surveys for storm water managements
