Bayside Engineering has completed the design and bid documents for the complete replacement of timber salt storage sheds at the MassDOT Sturbridge and Hopkinton facilities. Construction is scheduled to begin the spring of 2016.

Awarded an open-ended contract in June 2015, Bayside Engineering has been providing inspection, structural analyses, design and construction phase services for the replacement and/or repair of MassDOT Timber Salt Storage Buildings throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Initial designs also included repairs for the existing domed salt storage sheds at the I-90 depot in Weston. Construction is scheduled for the spring of 2016.

Recently the scope of the contract was modified to include all structures which support snow and ice operations. As directed by MassDOT, Bayside will assist inspections and prepare designs for repair and replacement of these structures.
