Sound Barrier Designs

In conjunction with various civil, site, facility and highway/roadway designs, Bayside’s scopes of services have included sound barriers to mitigate potential noise impacts and alleviate abutter concerns. Recent sound barrier designs completed by Bayside include those listed below.

United States Postal Service, Northwest Boston Processing and Distribution Center, Waltham, MA
This multi-million dollar commercial site redevelopment project, in a residential neighborhood, included 680 linear feet of 14 feet tall noise barrier along the entire length of the truck/loading dock driveway and 370 linear feet of 10 feet tall noise barrier along the back of the employee parking lot.

Massachusetts Highway Department, Massachusetts Welcome Center, I-95 Southbound, Salisbury, MA
Bayside’s 3.5 million dollar rest area reconstruction and reconfiguration design included 1,915 linear feet of 10’ tall noise barrier along the entire back side of the new Route 286 by-pass ramp.

Massachusetts Highway Department, Rest Area/Information Center, I-495 Southbound, Chelmsford, MA
Bayside’s 3.0 million dollar rest area reconstruction and reconfiguration design included 3,800 linear feet of 16 feet tall noise barrier along the entire backside of the rest area and on/off ramps.
