PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Bayside Engineering completed inspections and reports for 39 fracture-critical bridge structures located throughout the Commonwealth for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
In addition to inspecting and rating the structures based upon existing conditions, Bayside also prepared a field instruction manual specifically written for each bridge to be used by MassDOT personnel for future fracture-critical inspections. Each manual included plans, details, photographs and instructions showing where and what to look for on each individual bridge structure for each fracture-critical element. A summary of findings for each fracture-critical element at the time of Bayside Engineering’s inspection was also provided.
